Frequently asked questions.

Do you accept insurance?

No, Grief Brief does not provide a mental health assessment and diagnosis; therefore, it is not reimbursed by health insurers.

We are worried we can’t correctly share information with our children. Can you speak directly to my/our children instead?

THE BEST WAY FOR CHILDREN TO HEAR ABOUT TRAUMATIC OR STRESSFUL FAMILY EVENTS IS THROUGH THEIR LOVING AND CLOSEST CAREGIVER/PARENT. GRIEF BRIEF WILL WORK DILIGENTLY TO ENSURE YOU FEEL PREPARED AND SUPPORTED DURING THESE CONVERSATIONS. TRUST US, IT WILL BE WORTH IT. BUILDING A TRUSTING AND HONEST RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CHILD IS THE BEST INDICATOR FOR POSITIVE GRIEF OUTCOMES. STILL FEEL LIKE YOU CAN’T DO IT? LET’S TALK.

How many sessions will it take to receive the information I need?

EVERY FAMILY AND EVERY SITUATION IS DIFFERENT. OUR HOPE IS TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK, RECOMMENDATIONS, AND RESOURCES WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF SESSIONS TO MAKE IT THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE. NEVERTHELESS, WE ARE AVAILABLE FOR AS MANY SESSIONS AS YOU NEED.

Do you provide in-person sessions instead of Zoom sessions?

NO, OFFERING SESSIONS ONLINE ALLOWS US TO REACH AND SUPPORT CLIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR LOCATION. ZOOM SESSIONS PROVIDE GREATER FLEXIBILITY IN SCHEDULING, MAKING IT EASIER TO FIND CONVENIENT TIMES, AND MANY CLIENTS FIND IT MORE COMFORTABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SESSIONS FROM THEIR OWN HOMES.
